We want to integrate our autonomous technology with current farming practises. The guidance box is detachable enabling it to attach to the drill during drilling and ‘RUMMi’ during cutting.

It records GPS GNSS data during drilling and uses it later to guide it up and down the rows, cutting the under-sown crop and leaving the commercial crop to grow. This allows ‘Mowbot’ to navigate with an accuracy of 11.1mm in location and <0.02 degrees in heading accuracy.

Currently we’ve been able to prove the principle of this and are developing the hardware to best optimise its performance.
